ABL group ballroom/ social dance classes are offered in a casual friendly atmosphere. We tend to keep our classes not too large in order for instructors to provide as much personal attention as possible in a group setting.

What to wear for Group Dance lessons?
Wear your comfortable clothes and shoes. We recommend to wear “dance shoes” for the best dancing experience. Dance shoes are not just for professional dancers, but rather they are really comfortable for dancing, help to feel the floor, and not worry about hurting feet. Do I need a partner?
We encourage rotating partners during the regular group class, that way, you get to practice leading and following different dancers. So, feel free to come by yourself, with a partner or friends. It's a great way to meet new people or spend time with friends while learning something fun! However, if you prefer to stay with your partner/friend, we have no problem with that!

What level to choose?
Lessons are designed for dancers of different levels.

LEVELS:
  • Beginner Level (where don't need any previous dance experience, great way to get aquatinted with partner dancing);

  • Intermediate Level (some basic knowledge of a specific dance style is recommended to enjoy more progressive moves and patterns);

  • Advanced Level (focuses on technical dance styling, partnering and more elaborate dance choreography).
Do I need to register in advance?
Yes! We strongly advise to Register in advance, even if you only want to drop in one single lesson. This way, an instructor doesn’t need to take time for the “formalities”, but instead go straight to the lesson material. Our instructors always get ready for each lesson, and prefer to know, if you are coming, or if you might miss a lesson due to any reason. So, please notify the studio (phone/ text/ email), if you can’t make to the registered class.
Can I make up a missed lesson?
We would be happy, if you can make up a missed lesson, and jump into another class within a paid period, with advanced notification, to make sure that it would fit your level for the most enjoyment.
